( )
Al-Furqan Media, the mouthpiece of al-Qaeda-led Islamic State of Iraq (ISI) released a 27:56 minute video showing well armed insurgents from the ISI attacking Iraqi Army and Police posts in Nineveh and Mosul. The ISI is an alliance of a number of Iraqi insurgent groups led by al-Qaeda in Iraq.
The video shows 30 or 40 insurgents carrying out attacks. This is a unusually high number of militants to appear in a video. The insurgents are armed with a large arsenal of weapons, including anti-aircraft guns mounted on the back of their pick-up trucks. There were various shots showing the insurgents killing Iraqi troops, setting armored Army and Police vehicles alight, seizing weapons & ammo.

In the attack on the police post in Mosul, the insurgents killed quite a few soldiers on site, and left with two prisoners. The prisoners are later seen being executed with a hail of bullets fired in their heads on the side of the road.
Excerpts from old audios by Osama bin Laden, Abu Mus'ab Zarqawi, Abu Yehya al-Libi, and Abu Omar Baghdadi were running in the background. The date of the attacks was not specified by the group.
