NEW YORK (CBS) New Kids on the Block and the Backstreet Boys are hitting the road together.

The two groups will kick off their tour this summer.

Ryan Seacrest confirmed the news Wednesday on his Facebook page. The announcement did not mention specific dates or cities for the concerts.

The "On Air with Ryan Seacrest" host also said he will have BSB's Brian Littrell, Howie Dorough, Nick Carter and A.J. McLean, and NKOTB's Jordan Knight, Jonathan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg and Danny Wood on in his studio next Monday to talk about preparations for the tour and give fans their first chance at tickets.

The two bands will also perform live together on Nov. 21 at the American Music Awards.
