In honor of Veterans Day, the 55-year-old actor threw a bash Wednesday for hundreds of veterans on board the USS Intrepid, a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier that has been converted into a museum in New York.

He partnered with Sobieski Vodka, the company for which Willis is the global spokesperson. He also is a 3.3 percent owner of its parent company, Belvedere.

At the event, Willis, who wanted to recognize the men and women who've scarified their lives, said supporting veterans isn't about politics but about freedom.

He said "there's no country like" the United States and that when he travels the world, he always loves "coming home."
