In this Sunday, Aug. 30, 2015, photo, Kanye West accepts the video vanguard award at the MTV Video Music Awards at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. After six weeks of streaming exclusively on Tidal, the Jay-Z-backed music service, West’s latest album, “The Life of Pablo,” was finally released to other streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music and put up for sale on his website. West tweeted on Feb. 15, 2016, that the album “will never never never be on Apple. And it will never be for sale.”
